118 teams – about 2,000 students – competed in 46 different science events.
This year the National Science Olympiad competition will be hosted by Wright State. To help them prepare, the university has been hosting an invitational competition over the past several years. This years teams included the top state teams from Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, Texas, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Wisconsin, Tennessee and New York.
New Albany Middle School Varsity ranked 14th out of 59 teams.
Invitationals are designed to help teams prepare for their regional competition. They are an opportunity to see how students compare to others as well as gain insight into improvements for future competitions. The Invitationals are also an opportunity for the students to get the jitters of competition out of their system.
Wright State offered a full college campus and national level competition getting our teams ready to compete at the State Finals at OSU in the spring.
